One advantage of being a Photographer (there are many) is that I adorn my walls and home with photographs. If you visit my home you will notice photographs absolutely everywhere, from the moment you step into the front door and they tend to multiply as you venture upstairs.

I love photographs – they are ‘my artwork’ and a visual record of my ‘life and loves’.  Staring the people I love, the places I have visited and sometimes ‘just a snap that makes me smile everyday’. Happy Snaps go straight to the fridge (we don’t have a pool room)!

I thought I would share a few of my favourites…

To create a collage like this I start with the Frames…

I bought a selection of simple white baroque style frames from Big W in various sizes and then grouped with three blue frames from Bed Bath n Table (love the shop). The two small blue ceramic frames I found online from Robert Gordon. Next I photographed my children at a driveway near my home and dressed them in complimentary colours and took along a few of my vintage props for them to play with. From this set of photographs, I matched images to suit the frames and placed on the floor till I was happy with the arrangement.  Next I placed velcro strips on the backs of the frames and placed on the wall after measuring the distance apart – just to make sure they all line up. The largest frame is held in place by a hook and ribbon to add another element to the collage.

This frame started life as a gold mirror. I painted with milk paint and hung with a pretty ribbon.

Brooke and Todd were married at Flaxton Gardens on the Sunshine Coast on the 25th of November 2011.

A beautiful wedding with handmade details, touches of blue and plenty of cute boys (the Brides 7 nephews). So lovely to be with this gorgeous family again for another daughters wedding.

Just before Christmas I photographed Maddie and her two sisters as a present for her lovely Mum. Maddie works in my studio and is the eldest of three girls.
